Wet Days Per Year (≥ 1 mm Rainfall)
จำนวนวันที่มีฝนตก (ฝน ≥ 1 มม.) ต่อปี
Source
NASA POWER (bias-corrected precipitation reanalysis)
NASA satellite-and-reanalysis climate dataset; daily-precipitation grid covering all 77 Thai provinces. Refresh: monthly upstream (NASA POWER finalizes a rolling 60-day window); TLI re-pulls annually for the rainfall-days metric.
Goalposts
The 0-to-100 score for this indicator is normalized against fixed methodology goalposts. The values below define the band; click through to the methodology page for the framework that anchors them.
- Score 100 plateau
- 100 – 200 wet days/yr
- Score 0 floors
- ≤ 50 or ≥ 280 wet days/yr
- Direction
- Mid-range is best (parabolic curve)
- Anchor
- Fitted to the Thai provincial distribution
Rainfall scoring is parabolic, not monotonic: too few rainy days indicates drought stress and too many indicates rain-saturated discomfort. The score-zero floors sit at 50 days and 280 days; the score-100 plateau runs from 100 to 200 days. The plateau matches the central band of the observed Thai NASA POWER distribution; the floors sit roughly fifty days outside the empirical extremes to absorb year-over-year movement without saturating either end.
Live distribution: 59 of 77 provinces clip at the score-100 ceiling .
Which Thai province leads on Wet Days Per Year (≥ 1 mm Rainfall)?
59 Thai provinces share the maximum TLI score of 100/100 on Wet Days Per Year (≥ 1 mm Rainfall); the strongest by raw value are Chon Buri , Chachoengsao , and Phetchaburi (raw values from 178.5 to 187.5 wet days/yr). The bottom of the distribution is Phuket (256.3 wet days/yr, score 29.6/100).
Coverage
77 of 77 Thai provinces. Median score: 100. Each province's score is normalized 0–100 against fixed goalposts; a higher score is more favorable.
Reading the columns. Raw value the actual measurement in wet days/yr. Score normalized 0–100 against fixed methodology goalposts (not a percentile). Mid-range is best (parabolic curve). Why ties? 59 provinces share the score-100 ceiling because their raw values meet or exceed the upper goalpost. Provinces beyond the goalposts aren't separated further — that's the trade-off for fixed, year-over-year comparable scoring instead of percentiles.
